Privacy Policy

TickerClip follows one simple principle: your screenshots and recognized text belong to you, not us.
1. Local text recognition
TickerClip uses Apple Vision to perform OCR on your Mac. It does not send screenshots, selected regions or recognized text to TickerClip, the payment provider or any other server.
2. App permissions
macOS requires Screen & System Audio Recording permission to capture a selected screen region. TickerClip reads a region only when you deliberately start a capture. You can revoke permission in System Settings at any time.
3. Beta requests
When you request the beta, the site collects the email address, use case, Mac type and optional note you provide. We use this information only to send the beta, provide support and understand product needs—not to subscribe you to marketing emails.
Your request is delivered to TickerClip's operating inbox through Cloudflare's email service. The site does not retain these requests in an application database.
4. Purchases and licenses
Our Merchant of Record processes purchases, taxes, receipts and refunds under its own privacy policy. It handles the name, email, payment and tax information required to complete a transaction.
During license activation, TickerClip may send the license key, app version and a device instance name to the licensing service. Screenshots and recognized text are never included.
5. Analytics and advertising
The app contains no advertising, behavioral-tracking SDK or third-party analytics SDK. Our hosting provider may retain standard access logs required for security and reliability.
6. Retention
We do not store screenshots or recognized text on our servers. The payment provider retains order and license records as required for legal, tax and fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Contact

8. Changes
If the product or its data handling changes materially, we will update this page and its revision date.
